MISTRAL-Studie zur Misteltherapie bei Bauchspeicheldrüsenkrebs 

MISTRAL[1] wurde von G. S. Kienle (IFAEMM) mit der schwedischen Onkologin Kathrin Wode entwickelt und zusammen mit einem Team des Karolinska-Instituts durchgeführt. Es konnte kein Vorteil der Mistelbehandlung gegenüber Placebo gefunden werden:

Übersichtsarbeiten zur Misteltherapie

Zur Misteltherapie der Krebserkankung gibt es heute eine Vielzahl klinischer Studien, die zumeist ein positives Ergebnis zeigen. G. S. Kienle und H. Kiene führten mehrere Systematische Reviews dieser Studien durch. Sie sind teilweise heute noch Referenzmaßstäbe. Es handelte sich um Reviews 

• zu allen klinischen Mistelstudien;(1) 
• zu prospektiven klinischen Mistelstudien;(2) zu klinischen und präklinischen Studien zu Brustkrebs und gynäkologischen Tumoren;(3)
• zur Untersuchung von Lebensqualität in klinischen Studien;(4)
• zur Therapiesicherheit und zu Immunveränderungen in Tierexperimenten sowie humanmedi­zinischen klinischen Studien.(5)
